Summer Lecture Series – Student Feedback Form

This questionnaire for student feedback is anonymous with space for long answers, if desired. This feedback is valuable for letting us know if your expectations for the course were met. Feedback will also help us to tailor future training.

1. Lecture Content

Did the lecture content correspond to your expectations with respect to the lecture titles?

Was there enough time for discussion?

What subject would you have liked to see that was not addressed?

How were the balance of topics?

Were there any redundancies?

2. Level of Lectures

3. Practicals, Fieldwork & Mini-Projects

Was the time set aside for hands-on practical sessions sufficient, or would you have liked more/less time?

What is your opinion of the field excursion? Do you think it was worthwhile? Do you have any suggestions for improving it in future editions of the course?

Were the instructions for the mini-project clear? Was there enough time allocated for working on the mini-project?

Do you think it was worthwhile to work on a mini-project during the second week?

4. Logistical Organization

How would you rate the lodging, food, general logistics?

How would you rate the local staff / admin quality of service?

How was the interaction with lecturers, and researchers from the host institution?

Was the overall duration of the lecture series (2 weeks) too long/short or just right to address all the relevant topics?

Do you think that watching two recorded lectures by D. Stramkski followed by a single Q&A session was a good approach, or would you have preferred two dedicated in-person sessions on these topics?

Do you think it would be worthwhile to use the approach of watching past pre-recorded lectures beforehand for some other topics, reducing the number of dedicated sessions to make room for subjects that are not currently covered in the course?
