The objective of this working group is to examine the various approaches used for pre- and post-launch calibration of different ocean-colour sensors. The group plans to release recommendations for calibration of the sensors based on requirements and available calibration techniques. Accurate calibration of ocean-colour sensors is essential to ensure high quality ocean-colour data.

The fifth International Ocean Colour Science (IOCS) meeting took place in St. Petersburg, FL, USA from 14 – 17 November 2023, and was convened by the International Ocean Colour Coordinating Group (IOCCG) in partnership with the University of South Florida, and thanks to sponsorship from several sponsors.
